This video is incredibly sick. Spawned from the creative mind of filmmaker Fernando Livschitz, the video, which is set in Buenos Aires, takes you on a tour of the Argentinean city. Yeah, I’m sure there’s a ton of Buenos Aires tour videos out there. But here’s where it gets interesting, they use an inception like roller coaster to guide you through this tour. I know that’s not easy to visualize, so click the vid above to see exactly what I’m talking about.

It never fails. Every now and then some random person will approach me to tell me how excited they are about taking a trip to places like Paris or Berlin. Now a trip to Paris or Berlin is never a …

It never fails. Every now and then some random person will approach me to tell me how excited they are about taking a trip to places like Paris or Berlin. Now a trip to Paris or Berlin is never a bad thing, but what can be, is the time of the year they’ve chosen to go, the dead of winter (Dec, Jan, Feb in the northern hemisphere or June, July, Aug in the southern hemisphere).

Unless you truly enjoy the cold or you’re Jack Frost himself. Trekking around in the cold is never a good thing. If you can, avoid it. But you shouldn’t just avoid the frigid seasons, avoid the ridiculously hot ones too. Now this is advice for the novice travelers. True vagabonds really won’t care what time, day, or month they land somewhere they’re just happy to be anywhere. But if you barely travel or it’s your first time there, shitty weather conditions can really restrict your movements. And that will undoubtedly have a negative impact on the outcome of your trip.

To ensure that you’re traveling at a time that best suits you, just do what any sane traveler would do. Google the name of the city + average temperature + the month that you wish to visit and you’ll find out the average seasonal temperature for that time of year. Doing this small but quick task should help make your trip all the more enjoyable.

My obsession with this city keeps growing and growing, and videos like the one above don’t help. This video was cleverly shot by Alex Lee who manages to slow down the fast moving city through the usage of slow motion, stop motion, and time lapse. Lee also captures some of Tokyo’s iconic landmarks such as the Shiubya crossing and the steadily crammed JR train as well as some other sites. But again, don’t take my word for it, check the video out for yourself and let me know what you think of it.

I don’t know, it could have been the intense hunger that enhanced the taste, but I doubt it because I ended up going again that very same night and I loved it just as much as the first time.

First off, the price is dirt cheap. And then you have to understand that the fries are tasty to begin with, but then, they spread some cheesy goodness on top,and if you’re not too health conscious, add some bacon to that shit and you’ve got fries served the best way possible.

The path is called the East Coast Greenway, and it’s a 2500 mile traffic-less bike path that extends from Maine to Florida.

Oh, I can see it now, pounding out miles getting into ridiculous shape, while riding through the picturesque country-side like I’m Meriweather Lewis. And the best part is, I’d be tripping on a budget. All I’d need is my bike, some spare clothes, and my trusty iPhone. Now, I’m not saying I would ride the whole thing , that would take months, maybe just a state or two. From what I hear I don’t even need to be in the best shape to make the ride. In fact, I don’t even need to own a bicycle – there are plenty bike rental places with daily and weekly rates. All I need now is to find someone who’s crazy enough to do this with me. Any takers?

I for damn sure haven’t been everywhere, but I can say this with the upmost confidence. No city has got nothing on Brooklyn. Now, I’m not saying that Brooklyn is the best. I’m pretty sure that tiny island (and several other cities) from across the Bridge would have a lot to say about that.

But what I am saying is, Brooklyn has it all. Go ahead, add it all up for yourself and you’ll see what I’m talking about; the world-class restaurants, the incredible art scene, the one of a kind shopping, the lively nightlife, the culturally rich neighbourhoods, and that’s just the half. Really, the only thing that’s missing from Brooklyn is time, because when I’m there, it seems like there is never enough of it.

No, those two aren’t a couple (pictured above), but it looks like they should be, doesn’t it? They’re actually just really good friends and they were my touring compadres during my stay in Brooklyn.
Okay, so I didn’t spend every minute of my time in Brooklyn. I also made it out to Manhattan for a few hours, to take in Fashion’s Night Out (Yes, I went that long ago). I didn’t take very many pictures, but here’s a little bit of what I saw.
During Fashion’s Night Out the stores and the streets are jammed packed with people.

Another cool thing about Fashion’s Night Out is that the department stores go out of their way to elevate the shopping experience. Many of them feature live entertainment, and amazing but pricey food cooked and served right on the spot.

People trying to get a glimpse of Nicki Manaj, Drake, and Lady Gaga inside of the Versace store.

And we ended up hanging out here at Five Leaves (picture of the store front) chatting about a wide range of things for a few hours.

How cool is this place? It’s called Smorgasbord, and it’s a weekly outdoor food market that has one of the sickest backdrops ever!

Smorgasbord takes place every Saturday and Sunday during the summer months rain or shine. It’s located on East River Parkway in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. And it’s a collective of local restaurants, grocers, and budding chefs.

This shit looked better than it tasted. There was waaaay too much going on in there. But I’ll be back, there was still so much more to choose from.

The backdrop of smorgasbord. Sick right?

Next up was the Brownstoner’s Brooklyn Flea, which is open every Saturday and Sunday in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Neighborhood.

Now, I’m not much of thrift a lot, but aren’t flea markets supposed to be cheap? Don’t get me wrong they had some nice, cheap, and affordable stuff but I just found a lot of the vendors were charging premium prices for their wares.

My friend Vanessa doing some browsing.

The food here was awesome, so much so, I was more interested in the food than most of the wares.
All that walking around left us starved, so we headed over to the insanely popular Habana Outpost (It’s a only short walk away from the flea market btw).

It’s an outdoor Cuban restaurant where a lot of people go to hang out in the summer, it’s a fun place to relax, throw back a few drinks, and scarf down Cuban food. This place has lines for days, and finding a table is damn near impossible, so if you’re thinking of going you got to get there early.

If you only eat one thing here, order yourself some corn. It’s incredible!

I hate to be that guy that hypes up a place only for you to experience the opposite. So I’m going to say this. If frozen margaritas, tasty Cuban sandwiches, Corn topped with creamy goodness, and 2.75 beers are the norm where you’re live then you need not come here.

Random shot.

I don’t run into people who are decked out like this on a daily, so I had to take their pics.

If you want an alternative for the zoo that is Central Park, then come here to Brooklyn’s very chill Prospect Park. It’s a bit smaller than Central Park, which makes it more intimate, and there’s a vast amount of green space for you to do whatever.

Vanessa and I met up with some other friends and we took a nice stroll through the park.
