The original underground rail system recently turned 150 years old, underscoring a time-tested, yet curiously ignored truth – great cities have great public transit systems.

Monocle’s Top 25 Most Livable Cities
Monocle // most liveable city: Zurich from Perfectlounge on Vimeo.
Monocle’s annual quality of life survey, has helped to produce their list of the 25 Most Livable Cities in the world. Zurich, Switzerland takes the #1 spot this year, but the other 24 are not that far off from the coveted top spot. While True Vagabond is a blog about travelling, I’d bet that the 25 Most Livable Cities in the world are also among the 25 illest cities to visit too. Don’t believe me? Take in the videos above and below and tell me otherwise.

‘Heres Comes The Neighborhood’ – Trailer
HCTN TRAILER from Here Comes the Neighborhood on Vimeo.
It’s no secret that art (when done properly) can revitalize a neighborhood and give it some much needed energy and bounce. It’s cool to see that idea come to life in this trailer. Here Comes The Neighborhood document’s Tony Goldman (Urban Visionary Placemaker) and Jeffrey Deitch (Moca Los Angeles Director) attempt to revitalize Miami’s Wynwood District by turning it into a huge, outdoor street art museum.
LDN: The Holy Grail of Shopping – Oxford St.
Oxford Street - If there is one thing we’re sure of, by the time you leave London, you’ll have perfected your skills in card swiping. Â Because streets like Oxford St, will have you have coughing up the cash like your life depended on it.
Oxford St. is apparently Europe’s busiest shopping street. And It’s part of a larger shopping district with Regent street, Bond street and many other smaller streets. Name a brand (one’s worth mentioning) and we’re pretty sure you’ll find it near by. You find it all here.

LDN: Brick Lane – An Acquired Taste
London – There are two brick lanes. If you love curry, you’ll love the south end. But the north end, the end this post is concerned with, isn’t for everybody. Some will find it cliquish, maybe even pretentious, and a little too cool for school for their liking. But others will love the trendy nightclubs & bars, the art galleries and design studios, artist boutique shops, and the hordes of stylish people.
