A little while back, I compiled a list of some cool pools from around the world. Well, Complex magazine has completely one-upped me by not only compiling a list of the world’s best pools but they also picked the best beaches. But here’s the real kicker, all the pools and beaches on their list are topless (yes, topless!). So now that summer has officially begun you now have 50 new places where you can keep cool and visually stimulated. To see the list click here.

Travel Tips 101: Location Is Everything!

Alright, so you just booked your flight to London, you’re stoked. Now the only thing left for you to do is to find accommodations. You have options; cheap accommodations just outside central London VS a more expensive accommodation in Central London. But London isn’t cheap, so you opt to go with the first choice. From what you’re told it’s only 20 -30 minutes from outside of central London. 20- 30 minutes? That’s not that bad right? And besides it’s your saving yourself some money right? WRONG!

Travel 101: Need Wi-Fi? Find a Mc’Deeez
When you’re thousands of miles away from home, the time will come (and oh, and it will come) when you’re in desperate need of a wi-fi connection. But rest assured, because all you need to do is find the nearest McDonalds because chances are they’ll have a free wi-fi connection and plenty of it. Most McDonalds in Europe and North America offer free access to wi-fi. I ran into a situation in Portugal (the wi-fi isn’t the greatest there) where I desperately needed access to the internet. And where did I go? Yup, McDonalds. It wasn’t the most ideal place, but hey, it saved the day. So again, when you can’t find a reliable wi-fi connection just look for those golden arches.
Travel Tips 101: Timing Is Everything
It never fails. Every now and then some random person will approach me to tell me how excited they are about taking a trip to places like Paris or Berlin. Now a trip to Paris or Berlin is never a bad thing, but what can be, is the time of the year they’ve chosen to go, the dead of winter (Dec, Jan, Feb in the northern hemisphere or June, July, Aug in the southern hemisphere).

Travel Tips 101: 2 Is Always Better Than 1
“F*#%! The machine just ate my card.” I’m pretty sure you know what I’m about to say. When travelling anything can happen so it’s always wise to bring a spare ATM card. Just in case you lose it or the machine eats your card unexpectedly.
Travel Tips 101: Wear Shades
Travel Tips 101 – You’ve had little to no sleep and you have a 7hr flight ahead of you. And all you want to do is sleep, but no, the person beside you has other plans for you. They want to talk, show you pictures on their laptop, and offer you unwanted snacks. If only you could get them to shut up so you could get some much-needed shuteye.
Travelology 101: Act Like You Know
Knowledge is power. There is no disputing that, and in today’s tip I plan on showing you how arming yourself with a tidbit of info can help you save you some coinage and more importantly time. When you’re a tourist everybody is looking to gauge your pockets, so it’s wise to know how to protect them. And one group you’re going to want to protect yourself from are taxi drivers (Not all, but some).
Travel Tips 101: They Like To Jack You When You’re Being Entertained
Europe’s major urban centers (the tourist hotspots) are filled with pickpockets. Whether you’re in London, Paris, Barcelona, Prague, Madrid, or Rome they’re there. Just waiting to snatch your goodies. You might wonder how they do this, freeing you of your physical possessions without you noticing. Well, just like any other illegal act there’s a strategy behind it, and one of the keys is to do it while you’re being entertained/distracted. OMG, the Eiffel tower is so…snatch! Wow, Michelango’s creations are…snatch! Man, those street performers are…snatch! I think you get the point. Just try to be aware and alert in these situations and you should be just fine. Oh, and always keep your valuable possessions in the front and not the back of you.
