FACT: People in Amsterdam loooove hip-hop. It’s everywhere. Walk into any weed café and chances are you’re more than likely to hear Method Man than Bob Dylan. So it shouldn’t come as surprise when I tell you that one of the craziest hip hop parties takes place in, yup, you guessed it, Amsterdam.
The party is called BASSLINE and it’s one of the longest running hip hop parties in Amsterdam. The shit is pure mayhem. Just a bunch of coolly dressed kids wilding out to hip hop and R&B music from yesteryear and today. The crowd is mainly comprised of people in their early twenties, but there is a sprinkle of people from all age groups. So if you’re young at heart you should be good.
BASSLINE takes place on a month-to-month basis in Amsterdam’s legendary venue, Paradiso. The next one falls on Saturday April 21st, so if you’re going to be in Amsterdam anywhere near that date, I suggest you hit it up.
