I was amazed to find out that there is a long-ass bike path that snakes all the way down the eastern US coastline. The path is called the East Coast Greenway, and it’s a 2500 mile traffic-less bike path that extends from Maine to Florida.
Oh, I can see it now, pounding out miles getting into ridiculous shape, while riding through the picturesque country-side like I’m Meriweather Lewis. And the best part is, I’d be tripping on a budget. All I’d need is my bike, some spare clothes, and my trusty iPhone. Now, I’m not saying I would ride the whole thing , that would take months, maybe just a state or two. From what I hear I don’t even need to be in the best shape to make the ride. In fact, I don’t even need to own a bicycle – there are plenty bike rental places with daily and weekly rates. All I need now is to find someone who’s crazy enough to do this with me. Any takers?
