Lagos, Portugal - You know a place is pretty sick when a 5 hour day trip turns into an over-night shit show. Especially when nothing was brought to freshen up with.  No change of clothing, no deodorant, no cologne, no brush, or no toothpaste/brush.  Nadda! Just the physical-self and a camera, well, that was my experience in this place, Lagos, Portugal. Don’t judge me. You would sacrifice your hygiene for a longer stay in paradise too.  Okay, I might be stretching it a bit by using the word paradise, but seriously, this place just falls short of that moniker.

Oh man, I miss this scenery.  Cloudless topaz blue skies, a constant supply of vitamin D, and gleaming blue for as far as the eye can see.  This is one of those rare places where everything is beautiful.
The two dudes, Jason & James in the pic above were my traveling compadres. I’m pretty sure it was at this moment that we all realized that we f**%$# up. Â Majorily. The moment we realized that 5 hours wouldn’t do. Â But nobody said anything at this point. Â We just kept on exploring.
Imagine, popping you’re head out the hole and seeing this (the scene in the pic above).  Crazy right?  To me, the best places are the ones that make you feel like a child again.  You know, the ones that excite the senses, make you curious again, and leaving you wanting to explore.  And this place definitely did that, because before you knew it, we were hanging off ropes, stumbling through rocky coves, and exploring the seemingly endless beach.
You want to talk about random? Bumped into these two in Lisbon (who just so happen to be from my homebase) and the next thing I know we’re tagging along with them to Lagos.  If it wasn’t for this amazing couple I probably wouldn’t have experienced any of this.  Thnx again guys!
Awww, aren’t they cute? Â As you can obviously see, this place just breeds romance. Â If you’re in a relationship and you’re looking for a destination spot for you and the boo. Â I would strongly suggest you give Lagos a try. Â FYI Â The best time to come is between May and early September.
At some point my boys and I started to catch wind of  Lagos’ legendary nightlife.  These stories, combined with overall ambience of the place and the countless amount of topless women.  Pretty much sealed the deal.  So – we booked a room and stayed the night.
And man, what a night!  We ended up at this crazy-ass bar named Shakers.  It started off innocent and then ended up with me being wasted. Multiple shots of jager & tequila, several beers, and a few mojitos will do that.  And all my drinks were happily supplied by these two cool-ass bartenders in the pic above.  If you’re ever in Lagos, I suggest you give you this place a try.
Wow, the girl in the middle told me she could handle her drinks but I’m guessing she doesn’t know when to stop. Â Well, her face pretty much sums up the vibe of this place (I’m referring to Shakers).
